The Cure Fan Club Malaysia

The Cure are an English rock band formed in Crawley, West Sussex in 1976. The band has experienced several line-up changes, with frontman, vocalist, guitarist and principal songwriter Robert Smith being the only constant member. The Cure first began releasing music in the late 1970s with their debut album Three Imaginary Boys (1979); this, along with several early singles, placed the band as part of the post-punk and New Wave movements that had sprung up in the wake of the punk rock revolution in the United Kingdom. During the early 1980s, the band's increasingly dark and tormented music helped form the gothic rock genre.

After the release of Pornography (1982), the band's future was uncertain and Smith was keen to move past the gloomy reputation his band had acquired. With the 1982 single "Let's Go to Bed" Smith began to inject more of a pop sensibility into the band's music. The Cure's popularity increased as the decade wore on, especially in the United States where the songs "Just Like Heaven", "Lovesong" and "Friday I'm in Love" entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart. By the start of the 1990s, The Cure were one of the most popular alternative rock bands in the world. The band is estimated to have sold 27 million albums as of 2004.[1] The Cure have released thirteen studio albums and over thirty singles during the course of their career.

Is Roy Hodgson the right man at the wrong time?

Rafa Benitez gets blamed for everything, yet Roy plays Rafas formation trying to keep credit, but obviously RB has more class and knowledge than Roy even tho Roys been around the block, because we certainly wouldn’t be in this position under RB with the same players.

Lats season i guess RB lost some parts of the dressing room aka the British players, this season already Roys lost the belief from the foreign players and its them foreigners that make up most of our team.

I don’t know why Gerrard and Carragher have asked us the fans to be patient do they really believe this season his madness under Roy and get 4th place? if they do they’re living in dreamland, we need a new man in.

It is a big arena to play in .

Kuyt started EVERY game for Holland. Maxi 4 of 5, and came on as a sub in the 5th. Lucas is 23, has 7 caps, and was captain of Brazil’s U-20s.

Tevez currently has a good deal with City and he’s still unhappy. Born in red Stevie G has been tempted by Chelsea and Real. Players will always test the waters. They’d be stupid not to.

And finally, though I disagree with the number of LFC players rated. A team can win without top-class players at every position.

Gerrard is now up there with King Kenny

Steven Gerrard is and always will be a Anfield LEGEND.

Good n bads points about SG scoring a hatrick….

Good point……….SG scoring a hatrick, awesome. team winning.

bad point…… he has kept Roy Hodgson in his job for a bit longer.YNWA!

Preview: Liverpool vs Chelsea

Liverpool will be looking for their third Premier League win on on Sunday as they welcome league leaders Chelsea to Anfield.

Having beaten Blackburn and scraped past Bolton in their previous outings, the mood around Merseyside has been lifted somewhat ahead of a titanic battle between two teams whose rivalry has not been lessened by the gulf in their fortunes.

Liverpool sit 13 points behind Chelsea after 10 games; closer to the relegation zone than the top spot. However, a win could propel them out of the bottom half and into contention for Europe. A win, though, is a tough ask against a Chelsea juggernaut that has looked unstoppable this season.

Roy Hodgson will welcome back his big guns for this encounter, including skipper Steven Gerrard who was summoned to save his side against Napoli on Thursday. Fernando Torres will also return along with Maxi Rodriguez and Lucas Leiva. Dirk Kuyt could be fit enough to earn a recall, although it is likely to be on the bench if at all.

Chelsea were handed a fitness boost in the form of Florent Malouda’s early return from injury, but Frank Lampard will again be missing as he continues his recuperation from a groin problem. Michael Essien is expected to shake off a minor toe complaint while Yossi Benayoun misses out against his former club after suffering a torn Achilles tendon.

If this battle were to be fought on paper Liverpool would surely be torn to shreds. Roy Hodgson will know that his side are outclassed by their opponents in almost every department and will therefore have to rely on the kind of grit determination and heart shown by Steven Gerrard earlier in the week.

5 years ago Chelsea came to Anfield and left with both points and pride after thrashing us 4-1 in our own back yard. Since then the Blues have continued to go from strength to strength but looking at our own team 5 years on, it is arguable whether we have gone anywhere at all.

With Ancelotti’s side bang in form and Liverpool as vulnerable as they’ve ever been at present there is a real possibility of another embarrassment on home turf in this fixture. The only way this will be avoided is if every single player gives their absolute all from the minute they cross the threshold into battle to the second that the full-time whistle resounds around Anfield.

January Transfer Window Targets: Torres

Liverpool's star striker can't be happy with the situation at the Merseyside club at the moment. Liverpool are at the wrong end of the table and have been suffering from some severe off-field issues. Although those issues have now been resolved, the new owners have made it clear that there won't be a Chelsea-style eruption of signings. Instead, an Arsenal style of financial management looks likely, with value for money being key.

Such a strategy isn't likely to bring rapid success. The prospect of a return to the Champions League looks unlikely for Liverpool, and even qualification for next season's Europa League is in doubt.

Despite being short of form, Fernando Torres is still one of Europe's leading strikers. He cannot afford to be playing for a club that may well not be in with a chance of winning a trophy for some time. As demonstrated by the speculation over the summer, Torres is a popular player among Europe's leading managers. Any club would be more than happy to have him, and if Torres wants out, plenty of other clubs will want him in.

Bolton 0 Liverpool FC 1: Maxi Rodriguez clinches dramatic victory

We now have another week of RH bleating on to the media about how we've turned a corner, how good a manager he is (not!) and who he wants to buy.

I was hoping Bolton would do us over so he would be relieved of his duties because we're only kidding ourselves if we think this guy is going to bring the good ties back to Anfield. The guy is a joke, clueless, boring and had no idea what to do until Maxi popped up.

I seriously hoping Chelsea absolutely annihilate us next week so we can bring in a much better manager.

Roy, you are a joke and these fluky little wins are only delaying the inevitable sacking.
Slowly very slowly we are whispering that we are believing once again. Dare we dream, come on the reds. YNWA

Employ An Attack Minded Formation

Roy Hodgson is very famous for his defensive tactics. That's the last thing Liverpool needed when Rafa Benitez left. Right now there is no real attack in the Liverpool's game play. How many times have we seen Torres wandering frustrated in the opposition's box waiting for the hope to see the ball? In the Premier League more and more teams are attacking with more bodies in the box to get more scoring opportunities. Simple as that.

If Liverpool happens to buy some decent wingers and get rid of Lucas and Poulsen they have to change the defensive formation. Torres alone up front is not damaging anymore for the opposition. Any team can shut down the goal threat by deploying two markers for Torres. Gerrard is often busy defending the ball thanks to Lucas and Poulsen. Cole is on the wings. Ngog is not good enough. Roy doesn't want to play with two strikers. So, I just don't see from where the next goal will come!!

Johnson is an OK right back. His defensive abilities are often questioned. Carragher is past his best, although he provides the eye for the upcoming threat. Agger must be preferred to Skrtel.

Liverpool needs to remove Lucas and Poulsen first. Play only one better and decent younger holding midfielder, whoever they buy. Next step would be to play with genuine wingers like Turan/Mata. Babel, if not sold, should be played on the wings on a regular basis. This leaves Gerrard and Cole/Meireles to dictate the play in central midfield.

Finally Torres could get a striking partner. A new striker, Kuyt and Jovanovic can be rotated if needed.

This will add a two phased wing attack to the central midfield. Suddenly the team looks much more attacking and threatening. Torres can expect a three dimensional supply, more importantly, with better quality then now.

TWO OVER-HYPED, OVER-PAID FORWARDS – GOING BACKWARDS

This season rooney and nando torres have undergone a transformation from being forwards who strike fear into the hearts of opposition defence, to misfiring flops that defences relish playing against.

Both players look like a shadows of their former selves and there has yet to be any sign of a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.

Some thought the reds change of ownership might resurrect the Torres of old, but the Torres who took to the field against Everton on Sunday was a far cry from the player who took Premier League by storm just a short few years back.

It is now becoming increasingly evident that all is not well for Rooney at Old Trafford, with his relationship with Sir Alex seemingly on the rocks.

Though he is solely responsible for the misdemeanors in his private life, the intense glare and magnifying effect of the British media can be adjudged to have had a negative effect on his psychological state of mind and his form on the pitch.

With every passing match the confidence issues and pressure continues to mount for both players.

For me, judging from their current circumstances it is getting to the stage where the best option for both players would be a change of club and perhaps even a change of country.

£6M IS A SMALL PRICE TO PAY FOR LIVERPOOL’S PLAN B

We may not be a two man team that our critics love to point out, however our over reliance on Fernando Torres to put the ball in the back of the net has been highlighted on numerous occasions this season. We haven’t got a Plan B upfront and subsequently we have struggled as a result.

It has been a problem for a couple of years now and RH failure to improve the attack in the summer certainly caused a little confusion. Whether Hodgson believed that Milan Jovanovic would produce more of an attacking threat may have swayed his thinking, but it was a huge error on his part, given it was a lack of potency in the final third that cost Rafa dear last season.

David N’Gog has certainly improved this season, but is he really the answer long term? Hodgson, like Rafa, clearly doesn’t believe that Ryan Babel should be given the opportunity to stake a claim for a striking role, therefore we are rather stuck and subsequently short of options. The longer Fernando Torres continues to fire blanks, the longer our pain will go on.

Is Liverpool crisis way off the mark?

Liverpool are the media's whipping boys at the moment and they are doing their level best to make it seem a crisis is ensuing at Anfield. While it is well documented about the financial troubles off the pitch, is it really that desperate on it? Doesn't Roy Hodgson and his new boys need time to settle before any criticism is thrown at them?

Have your say!
